Retirement Party Photography At Myers Country Club Charlotte, NC

I did 4 hours of coverage at this retirement party at Myers Park Country Club in Charlotte, NC. The event took place in the Mecklenburg Room. The event had about 150-200 guests. Being an event photographer in the Charlotte area, you can’t ask for a much better place to shoot an event.

We knocked out all the group shots in the first 20 minutes, then the remaining time I just tried to blend in as much as possible and capture all the love and emotion at this retirement party. For this event, I decided to try something different. In order to blend in as much as possible, I shot this entire event on the new Fujifilm X100VI. It’s small form factor makes the camera much less noticeable. This allowed me to get close without being noticed, which is key for my style of storytelling photography.

I will be doing a post in the coming days about what gear I use for my wedding, event and family photography, since I use different cameras than a lot of photographers.

Here is some of my favorite photos from the night.

If you are looking for an event photographer, go to the contact page and fill out the form. I also do wedding, family and commercial photography.
